Donkor, 23, was the hero for the Porcupine Warriors when he converted a free kick in the 90th minute in the SWAG Cup clash with Ashantigold to hand Kotoko the trophy.

“I have really worked hard on set pieces. I want to be a free kick expert in the country. I have been working a lot on that and I must be thankful to coach David Duncan for his support.

It has been my dream and I am living up to that. I realized I was good in taking free kicks and set pieces so I have devoted time to perfect what I know how to do. I want to do it better and be recognized with it.”

Described as an important player to the title ambitions of the Porcupine Warriors by their head coach, Donkor has shot himself to the position of taking all the set pieces of the side moving him inch closer to his dream.

Donkor statistically took nine free kicks in their clash with AshantiGold in the SWAG Cup with the last resulting in the breaker while his only goal in the side’s 1-0 win over Hasaacas last season came from him.

He again registered two goals in Kotoko’s 5-0 drubbing of Serbian side FK Jagodina in the 80th Anniversary game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
