Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffu has indicated that he will rely on experience to excel in the club after making his bow in the game against Bolga All Stars last week.

Akuffo, who marked his return to the team’s setup since re-signing with a remarkable display that saw him assisting Yakubu Mohammed’s 20 minute strike, has vowed to put in more shift in subsequent games if he is given the opportunity.

“I have to thank the coach for his confidence in me,” he told AsanteKotokosc.com

“The coach has done well; he’s kept the experienced and relatively new players together to form the team. I’m going to use my knowledge and experience to help. I would be looking forward to more good performances. I would want to be impressive anytime I’m field."

“This is my first competitive match for the team in one year."

“I’m happy I played 90 minutes and the general team performance too was good."

“I thank Dr. Kwame Kyei for the opportunity. I’m grateful for the chance his Management has given me,” said the midfielder.
