Coach Mas-Ud Dramani was a conspicuous absentee from Asante Kotoko’s opening training session on Tuesday morning to fuel doubts over his future with the club.

The former Ghana national team coach has been in dragged negotiations with the club’s board over an extension to his contract.

Dramani is reportedly out of contract next month but the club have shown its determination to retain him after leading the side to back-to-back Premier League titles.

The coach was however not present when his team reported to begin pre-season training on Tuesday morning at the club’s Adarko Jachie training facility in Kumasi.

His assistant Michael Osei presided over proceedings which was also witnessed by management members Opoku Nti and George Kennedy.

The entire Kotoko squad will undergo a routine medical checkup before picking up the paces in their pre-season program.
