Asante Kotoko vs Techiman City- Preview: Porcupine Warriors out to silence noisy Citizens for top spot
Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko have their eyes set on top spot mid-way when they take on new entrants Techiman City FC at the Baba Yara Stadium this Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors couldn't make it five wins in five after their narrow loss to Wa All Stars in midweek.

Wa All Stars pipped them by a lone goal.

Kotoko approach Sunday's game without striker Kwame Boateng. He has been out of action for close to a month with an injury.

Emmanuel Gyamfi is likely to miss the match despite signing for Asante Kotoko last week.

He is expected to make his debut in the second round of the season.

Techiman City FC were held at home to a one all draw by league champions Ashanti Gold SC last Wednesday at the Nana Ameyaw Park.

The Citizens scored very late in the game to draw level after Ashanti Gold SC had gone up by a goal very early in the first half.

A win over Asante Kotoko on Sunday will be the best result for the premiership newcomers so far this season.

Head coach Yusif Abubakar is having a full house of fit players to select ahead of the crucial fixture this weekend.
