Asante Kotoko have warned the Ghana Football Association not to delay the verdict of the Appeals Committee over the Obed Owusu issue.

The Porcupine Warriors are fighting to reclaim six points deducted from their points build up for fielding the player in question, who was ineligible, against Hearts of Oak last month.

Kotoko have also given the Ghana FA an ultimatum by Wednesday 09, September to release the ruling.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the Board Chairman immediately after the Board’s emergency meeting on Saturday in Kumasi.

The statement said, resolving the matter brought before it before the middle of next week would be helpful.

“This will clear all doubts about the veiled manipulation of the results of the remaining league matches” the statement noted.

“This will also ensure the legitimacy of the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Premier League”.

While reposing confidence in the GFA’s legal body, the Board of Directors noted that, “Kotoko reserves the right in the supreme interest of Ghana football to take all necessary action to protect the sanctity of the league and the interest of all clubs”.
