Asante Kotoko SC is yet to receive their share of $ 57,000 as development fee from Baba Rahmanââ¬â¢s move to Chelsea.
Kotoko, who gave the player the needed exposure three years ago, are expected to receive $ 57,000 as training compensation and solidarity contribution, courtesy FIFAââ¬â¢s International Transfer Matching System (ITMS).
The money from Rahmanââ¬â¢s sale is expected to boost the new leadership and level the grounds for a smooth take off by the Samuel Osei Kuffour led administration.
GHANAsoccernet.com understands that Chelsea have already paid the said amount to the English football Association for the onwards transfer to the Ghana football association and ultimately Asante Kotoko.
If everything goes as planned the money should arrive before the club begin their pre-season campaign.
Newly promoted Dreams FC a club where Baba Rahman honed his talent is also expected benefit hugely from the move.
