Ashantigold chief blasts PLB over revised League fixtures

Published on: 31 October 2012

Ashantigold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo has criticized the Premier League Board for revising the first round of matches in the top flight.

Match day-6 of the Premier League has been brought forward to Sunday November 4 instead of the circulated November 7.

Officials of clubs have been incensed with decision of authorities to alter the date without consulting them and the miners’ chief is livid with thr turn of event.

“ You can’t just wake up one morning and decide to change date as and when it pleases you,” Fianoo told Accra-based Asempa FM

“We are running a professional league and so things must be done properly. Those who are former bankers and now doing part-time must understand that some of us butter our bread on football.

“They are simply playing with our lives. We are in serious business and not joking at all.

“The move has affected us financially and disrupted our plans for our next game against Lions.

“When we meet in an Executive committee meeting, I will state my case. It’s unfair and improper.”
