Ashantigold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo feels Kotokoââ¬â¢s congested fixtures this year will affect their Ghana Premier League title defense.
The Porcupine Warriors are chasing titles in three fronts including the CAF Champions League, FA Cup and the Ghanaian Premier League.
They begin their African campaign with a difficult tie against Liberian side Barrack Young Controllers this Sunday at home.
Ashantigold are in a hot race with the two-time African champions for the title in the First Capital Plus Premier League and their Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo is counting on Kotokoââ¬â¢s congested fixtures to take a toll on the team.
ââ¬ÅI am confident about our title ambitions because Kotoko players will be tired at some point due to their congested fixtures,â⬠Fianoo said
ââ¬ÅDonââ¬â¢t forget they will play in the CAF Champions League and also involved in the FA Cup and the Premier League.
ââ¬ÅIn my view, the players will be tired at some point and so weââ¬â¢ll take advantage of that and win the title.
ââ¬ÅWe are only playing the League and the FA Cup and so our boys will get enough rest.
Itââ¬â¢s been a long time since we won the League and so we are determined to make our fans this season.ââ¬
The miners trail Kotoko by only seven points.
