AshantiGold coach Charles Akunnor has urged his charges to start showing determination ahead of their week 13 Ghana Premier League encounter with Medeama SC.

The Miners have largely endured a torrid start to the campaign after twelve games, having amassed only 8 points and are currently occupying the foot of the league log.

Ahead of their midweek encounter against Medeama at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, coach Akunnor has told his players to stand up and be counted as their premiership status is slowly slipping from their hands..

“The players need to change their attitude and mentality, it is unprofessional if they are not ready to die for the club. There are lot of work to be done and we need to fix players who are ready to play.” he said

This is will be Akunnor's second league game since taking charge of the team and he will be hoping to get his first win after steering the club's MTN FA Cup exit over the weekend.
