AshantiGold coach CK Akunnor has is pleased with the attitude of his players in Wednesday's 1-1 stalemate with Medeama at home.

The former Black Stars skipper complained about the mentality of his players in their MTN FA Cup elimination last week.

But he claims there has been improvement after the week 13 fixture.

"I think today I was impressed with the attitude. I complained the last time about the attitude of the players. We had a long chat about it and today I saw a different thing," Akunnor said in a post-match interview.

"It is a good starting point. We have lost two matches since I arrived, today we drew. Hopefully we will win our next match.

"I am building on this match and match upon match. It was a good attitude of the boys. They didn't lose so it is good starting point."

The Elephants are still sitting bottom of the log with nine points with two games to end the first round of the season.
