Deputy coach of AshantiGold Yakubu Mambo says he is ready to quit the club should they fail to meet management’s three-match ultimatum.

The Miners are facing one of their worst seasons in the premier league campaign and are on the brink of dropping from the elite division.

And on Tuesday, the club’s management issued a three-match ultimatum to the technical team to turn their fortunes around.

But the club’s assistant coach Yakubu Mambo says he will not hesitate to vacate his position should they fail to live up to the ultimatum.

“Management have given us three matches to move out of the drop zone. They will do their best for the team as we also look to improve to achieve the set ultimatum," he told Silver FM

"If we fail to to win any of the next three matches, I will be forced to end my role as the assistant coach through resignation."

The club are currently 15th on the league table with just 7 points.
