Ashantigold goalie Fatau Dauda blames Mitre Ball for Soulama's howler against Kotoko

Ashantigold goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has blamed the Mitre Ball for Soulama Abdoulaye's clanger which gifted Kotoko a 1-0 win in the Super Cup on Monday.

The Burkina Faso international has come under line of fire after he mis-kicked a back pass from defender Richard Akrofi which curled into a gaping net.

But in the midst of the massive criticism targeted at the veteran shot-stopper, Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda insists the Mitre ball used for the game accounted for the sorry episode.

“We all watched the game on television. When I saw the back pass to Soulama the ball was bouncing and he used the right technique to clear the ball. But unfortunately it entered the net and the ball is the problem because I have been using it,"he told Starr Sports
