Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold SC Kudjoe Fianoo has stepped down from his position from the club, according to media report.

Widespread media reports indicate that Fianoo, who doubles as the chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association, has tendered in his resignation to the club's board.

The outspoken football administrator served the club for thirteen years, guiding them to Premier League glory in the 2014/15 season as they ended a nineteen-year trophy drought.

According to the reports, Fianoo's decision to vacate the position was bourn out of the incoming investors, which he categorically told the board he is not ready to work under them.

He was present in Obuasi on Sunday as a guest of honour during the Super Cup game between Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko SC at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
