Ashantigold threaten to withdraw from GHALCA organised competition over lack of 'respect'

Published on: 09 July 2015

Ashantigold have signaled their intention of pulling out of any organized competition by the Ghana League Clubs Association.

The miners are angry with the lack of ‘respect’ shown by the leadership of the club’s umbrella body following their late decision to replace them with Kotoko during their 2015 President Cup.

The Ghanaian league leaders say they were not notified of the decision of GHALCA to kick them out in preference for Kotoko after they were notified originally to play Hearts.

The club has served notice it will not participate in any organized competition unless their pre-financed hotel bills are reimbursed.
