Ashantigold could gazump Berekum Chelsea for the services of want-away striker Ahmed Toure.

The miners have reportedly set their eyes on the Ivorian who has dropped hint he will be willing to leave Asante Kotoko at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has struggled for first team action since he returned from suspension for over staying a compassionate leave.

His open declaration to bow out at the club has opened the window for many local clubs including Chelsea to enquire about his availability.

The Blues have identified the former Lokeren and CS Sfaxien attacker as the man to partner Emmanuel Clottey in their bid to make an impact in their debut appearance in the group phase of the Caf Champions League.

But they have to face off with the Obuasi-based club who have also targeted the striker to aid their campaign next term.
