Ashantigold to sack coach Yaw Acheampong - reports

Published on: 03 December 2012

Yaw Acheampong is unlikely to return to his post as Ashantigold coach, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The former Ghana international was conspicuously missing from the miners’ bench when they beat Hearts 1-0 in Accra on Sunday.

The coach is believed to have been granted permission to attend the funeral of his late brother but that has not calm growing speculations that he is on his way out of the club.

The future of Acheampong has been hugely speculated in the local media due to their recent poor performances in the top-flight.

Officials are tight-lipped on the long-term future of the coach but sources say assistant coach Kamara Dini could be appointed interim coach in the coming days.
