AshantiGold SC will like to end the first round of the Ghana Premier League with a win when they host West African Football Academy on Saturday.

The Miners have earmarked a win against the Academy side to get them back to winning ways after five consecutive draws.

They earned a point at the Nana Ameyaw park on Wednesday with a 1-1 stalemate against Techiman City FC.

AshantiGold SC will do battle with WAFA SC on Saturday without goalkeeper Fatau Dauda who has been invited into the Black Stars again.

Kadri Mohammed will join Fatau Dauda in the national team just after the game.

Paul Abakah Nkrumah will play no part in the Ashanti Gold SC team since he is nursing an injury.

He has been out for almost a month now.

WAFA slumped to Medeama SC on Wednesday after going up two goals in the first half and lost 3-2 in the end.

The Academy boys travel to the golden city without kingpin Samuel Tetteh. He has been called up to the Black Stars camp.

Togolese import Komlan Agbegniandan has scored in all his two away games he has played since joining the Academy side.
