AshantiGold first choice goalkeeper Robert Dabuo insists he is looking over his shoulder following the arrival of Fatau Dauda.

Dauda has returned to club after terminating his contract with Chippa United and signed a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old was AshantiGold’s undisputed number one goalkeeper before moving to Orlando Pirates a little over a year ago.

His successor, Dabuo, was impressive and played a role in their fourth-place finish last season.

Competition for starting place will naturally intensify with the arrival of the Black Stars shot-stopper but Dabuo insist Dauda’s arrival can only be good to the club.

“For me, I am a professional and I can say that the arrival of Dauda will be good for both of us to continue developing,” Dabuo told GHANASoccernet.com

“He is a top player who will add quality to our side and the ultimate aim is for the overall interest of the club.

“There are clubs who have about three good goalkeepers but they are all happy and have respect for each other.”
