Glo Premier League side AshGold have named low-profile Kofi Amoako as stop-gap coach following the dismissal of Yaw Acheampong and assistant Didi Kamara.

The Miners terminated the appointments of Yaw Acheampong who guided them to second spot last term and ended the season as FA Cup runners up.

Amoako has been charged to ensure the club maintain a decent position on league table while talks get underway to bring in a new permanent trainer.

Serbian trainer Danilo Doncic has been linked to the vacant job while Herbert Addo who guided Aduana Stars to title success on their debut season is also been considered.

AshGold are sixth with 16 points from 11 games.
