AshantiGold could be punished after boycotting the medal presentation of the 2016 Super Cup on Sunday after defeat to Medeama.

They felt they were handed a raw deal by the centre referee.

The league champions were beaten 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium after a late Bernard Ofori goal on 87 minutes.

But the Miners claimed they were robbed after referee Daniel Laryea disallowed Frederick Quayson’s goal early on.

Quayson who tucked in after goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe parried an overhead kick back into play but the flag was up.

Television replays showed the former Sekondi Hasaacas man was played on by right back Samuel Adade.

After the final the whistle, head coach Bashir Hayford ordered his players to walk off the field.
