AshGold fines defender for red card offence

AshantiGold have handed a GHC 250 (US$ 147) fine to defender Latif Mohammed for his red card in a Ghana Premier League match.

The club say Mohammed's misconduct earned him the sending off against Berekum Arsenal at the Len Clay last Wednesday.

He becomes the fourth player to be fined by the club since Yaw Acheampong took charge.

Last Sunday, Moussa Kassey was sent off again for hitting a Heart of Lions player in the face during their 2-0 win at Kpando.
