AshantiGold and Great Olympics have been fined US1,250 each for crowd violence sparked by their fans during separate league matches in Ghana.

The League leaders Ashgold were slapped with the fine after their fans attacked a referee in their game with New Edubiase United.

Video evidence proved that fans of AshantiGold behaved improperly by rushing on the match officials in their game with New Edubiase.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA also found Olympics guilty of a similar offence in their game with Chelsea at the El-Wak Stadium two weeks ago.

During the recess of the game, supporters of Olympics besieged the entrance to the dressing rooms of the match officials thereby making it impossible for the match officials to access their rooms.
