AshantiGold goalkeeper Fatau Dauda insists the team is not getting overly excited with what appears to be their gradual rise to the Ghana à Premier League title success.
The Miners extended their lead on top of the First Capital Plus League with a derby win over Aduana Stars over the weekend.
AshGold have now opened up a seven-point lead ahead of second-placed Berekum Chelsea.
The Obuasi-based club are on track to winning their first domestic league title in two decades.
But Dauda says the team remain grounded despite their positive march to league success.
ââ¬ÅWe are not getting ahead of ourselves,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅWe are taking it game after game. The focus always is to win our next game.
ââ¬ÅIf we continue to win games like these then obviously weââ¬â¢re going to be successful in the end.ââ¬
