AshantiGold striker Bashiru Osman says the will prove their championship status against dethroned league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko when the two finally clash in the SWAG Cup tomorrow.
The two sides will be clashing in the SIC Nyametei SWAG Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow in what appears a battle of supremacy.
The Miners scooped five trophies in the just ended season including the Premier League, the GHALCA Top 4 and the Otumfuo Cup.
Bashiru Osman who was a former striker of the Asante Kotoko side insists that they will stamp their authority over the Oseikrom lads.
“We will prove why we are champions. We beat them in the Ghalca Top 4 and the Otunfuo Cup. We also toppled them to win the First Capital Plus Premier League. So we must prove why we are champions,” Osman said.
“We will beat them with team work. You know we won the best coach and best player of the season as well as the best team of the season. So we will prove to them why we are champions,” he added.
Bashiru Osman played under Didi Dramani at Kotoko before joining the Aboakese lads two seasons ago and has since been a great addition for Bashiru Hayford’s side.
