AshGold want pernament deal for striker Nana Poku

AshantiGold want to sign striker Nana Poku on a permanent basis after impressing on loan.

Poku joined the Miners on a six-month deal from dethroned Ghanaian champions Berekum Chelsea in January.

He raked in 16 goals to emerge goal king last season but failed to assert his authority in a star-assembled Chelsea squad.

He was however farmed out to the Obuasi-based club to regain first team action and never disappointed as he helped the club to second spot.

Reports say AshGold have opened talks with Chelsea over making his loan deal permanent.

The news that the former Berekum Arsenal hitman is keen to make the move permanent is a huge boost for coach Yaw Acheampong who is likely to be handed the job on a long–term basis.
