Ashley Cole: \"I didn\'t come here to sit on the beach\"

Former England international Ashley Cole last week completed a move to MLS team LA Galaxy.

In 2014, Cole turned down a move to the club and signed for Italian club Roma stating he "wasn't ready to relax on a beach yet."

Now the move to America has been completed, Cole fears that people will believe that he moved there just to relax.

"I hold my hands up. It was said, but for sure it was taken out of content," Cole answered when asked about his previous comments.

"But I have to deal with it. I hope I can kind of change the views of me coming here, playing on the pitch and playing as good as I can.

"I'm a winner. I always want to win. I don't come here to sit on the beach, to rest. I'm here to play football and work hard.

"I'm not a diva, I'm not an egotistical guy that comes and thinks he's bigger than anyone. I'll come here and work as hard as I can."
