FC Sion striker Ebenezer Assifuah has vowed to fight hard for a permanent position in the Black Stars as he is not ready to lose his spot in the team.

Assifuah was invited for the double-header World Cup qualifier with Comoros in Moroni and Kumasi and has vowed to fight on to get a place in the team.

Speaking after the Black Stars 2-0 victory over Comoros, the shy looking Assifuah admitted that there is stiff competition in the team but will fight his way into the good books of Avram Grant.

“It is always good to be part of the team. I am happy to have had the opportunity and I will work to ensure that I am always with the team,” Assifuah said.

“The competition in the team is very strong but I will work my way through and my time will soon come,” he added.

Assifuah, 22, scored FC Sion’s opening goal against Liverpool at Anfield in the 2015 Europa League .
