Aston Villa manager confirms Jordan Ayew has apologized to him
Jordan Ayew was sent off against West Ham for elbowing incident.

Aston Villa manager Rémi Garde says that Jordan Ayew has apologised to him, the players and the fans for his dismissal at West Ham.

Garde said he was upset when the red card was raised because he knew it would completely change the makeup of the match at Upton Park.

Now, with a bit of time to consider matters, Garde says he can't be too critical on Ayew because of his total commitment to the team all season.

He said: "Straight after the red card, I was really disappointed.

"This was the first feeling I had - and I was upset as well because this is something where you know straightaway you will be in big trouble and the game will change.

"But I must say that since then, Jordan has behaved the way he had to.

"He made some apologies publically and in front of the group too.

"The morning after, he went to my office and apologised personally to me and then we had a chat.

"He has done what he had to do after his actions.

"What I would say is what he did in the previous games since the start of the season has been very good. He is one of the most committed players in every game.

"He is one of the biggest runners in the team every time. He's in the top three every match.

"I can't say this is not a player who is committed to the Villa challenge we have."
