Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez has welcomed interest from Manchester United.
The Manchester Evening News says Gimenez, a target of United's in January, wants to join the Premier League club in the summer.
Gimenez's contract runs out in 2018 but it includes a £56million buyout clause.
United would be reluctant to pay the huge transfer fee given the 22-year-old has just one year left on his deal at Atletico.
Gimenez has played just seven La Liga games for Atletico this season with Diego Simeone preferring the pairing of Diego Godin and Stefan Savic.
