Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing to table a £25million offer for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.
The Daily Star is reporting Atletico have identified 27-year-old Spaniard as their top transfer target this summer.
It is understood Mata is confused about his current role in the Manchester United squad under Louis van Gaal and will seriously consider leaving Old Trafford should the Red Devils fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Mata is also believed to be on the radar of a host of cashed-up Chinese Super League clubs, while a move to Major League Soccer has also been mooted.
