Atsu not keen on Ghana starting berth

Portugal-based winger Christian Atsu says he is not keen on a starting role in Ghana's 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi on Saturday.

The FC Porto whiz kid scored on his Ghana debut in the 7-0 mauling of Lesotho in June and has been impressive in his four international caps.

The 20-year-old must contest for a place in a star-studded Ghana midfield set-up.

With Marseille star Andre Ayew making a return and Juventus ace Kwadwo Asamoah available, Atsu chances are slim.

"I work for my nation and myself. Whatever decision the coach makes must be accepted," Atsu  said.

Atsu is expected to be a second half substitute in the game.
