Austria-based midfielder to join Ghana's All Africa Games final squad

Austria-based midfielder Francis Adjei will be named in Ghana's squad for the All Africa Games in Maputo next month, MTNFootball.com understands.

The 19-year-old left winger plays for the junior side Red Bull Salzburg and will join the team's camping base in South Africa.

Adjei, a product from the Red Bull Soccer Academy in Sogakope, earned himself a place in the team following a successful trial in 2009.

"Although the European league's are underway, the youngster has received the clearance by his youth team coach for the tournament," a Ghana Under-23 source told MTNFootball.com

"He will join the team in South Africa before our departure to Maputo."

Ghana will face Cameroon, Uganda and Senegal in Group B at the football event of the multi-sport games.

The All Africa Games will run from 3-8 September.
