Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi claims Avram Grant has distanced himself from a ‘regrettable’ judgment passed by his agent regarding the local league.

Saif Rubie, the agent of the Black Stars coach, has come under line of fire after he questioned the quality of players on the domestic scene.

Rubie was justifying the constant exclusion of local players in the team with claims the local league does not have enough quality players to represent the country at the international level.

But Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has claimed the view of the agent is not shared by his client.

They are regrettable comments,” Nyantakyi told Metro TV’s Sports File on Wednesday.

“First of all, he doesn’t live in Ghana and therefore how can he come to such judgmental conclusions.

“He doesn’t speak for the coach and we have had discussions with the coach over this comments and he has disassociated himself from it.

“They are not views shared by the coach.”
