Avram Grant hints at England return when Ghana contract expires
Avram Grant has not ruled out returning to England to coach

Ghana coach Avram Grant has hinted that he could return to England to coach a club side when his contract with the Black Stars expires early next year.

This means the former Chelsea manager could opt not to extend his contract which expires at the end of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Grant has come in for intense criticism from the Ghanaian media who lament about his absence from the country even though he has achieved good results with the Black Stars.

The coach said he misses the intensity of coaching a club side as the daily activities of preparing for matches at the weekend proves very attractive to the Israeli coach.

Grant will not rule out a return to England to coach a club side after making his name in the European country by coaching several top-flight sides.

"The competitiveness and creativity in training every day of the week is different. There is no doubt that I miss it," Grant told Israeli radio station 102FM.

"My contract ends after the African Cup of Nations Championships in Gabon early next year.

"Next year, at the end of my contract, it is possible I will coach a team in England."

Grant coached Chelsea, Portsmouth and West Ham United before having stints in Serbia and Thailand before taking over the Black Stars.

He led the Ghana national team to reach the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
