Avram Grant opts for experience in probable Ghana lineup in friendly against Canada

Agyemang Badu was Ghana's stand-in captain on WednesdayGhana coach Avram Grant will name tried and tested players in his starting line-up to face Canada in Tuesday’s friendly, GHANASoccernet.com understands.

The Israeli trainer will pick Cordoba goalkeeper Razak Brimah to man the post and will be shielded by a back four composed of Harrison Afful, Jeffrey Schlupp, Edwin Gyimah and John Boye.

Stand-in captain Emmmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Torino star Afriyie Acquah will play in the heart of midfield with Mubarak Wakaso and Albert Adomah on the left and right flanks respectively.

In the absence of injured striker and substantive captain Asamoah Gyan, Jordan Ayew and Majeed Waris will lead the attack.

Grant named four debutants-Phil Ofosu Ayeh, Kwadwo Poku, Lloyd Sam and Gideon Baah in his 19-man squad- by it does not look like any will get to start.

The Black Stars will play the Canucks at the RFK Stadium in Washington, DC to prepare for next month’s 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup qualifier against either Comoros Islands or Lesotho.
