Ghana youth international Gladson Awako is patiently awaiting his opportunity to play for Spanish side Recreativo Huelva after joining them in the middle of the season.

The former Hearts of Lions combative midfielder is yet to feature for the Segunda division outfit after he joined the club during the closure of the transfer window.

The 19-year-old cannot wait to have his chance next season to prove his case.

"I have been here since February and I can't wait for the World Cup to end so I can get my chance to prove my case to them," Awako said

"I have been training with the team and I am happy to say that they like me and my contribution at training.

"I am anxious to play my part for the team next season and help the club to gain promotion back to the top flight.

The club are currently placed 9th on the league table and will play Numancia in their next game on April 24.

Awako was a member of Ghana squad that won the Fifa World Youth Championship in Egypt late last year.
