Andre and Jordan Ayew were again unable to help Marseille as they slumped to a second successive defeat to PSG on Wednesday.

The Ghana duo played a part in the French Cup game at the Parc de Princes but ended up on the losing side.

A brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic ensured Les Phoceens’ elimination from this season’s Coupe de France.

The loss is Marseille’s second defeat in a space of three days to the Ligue 1 leaders following last Sunday’s top flight defeat by the same margin.

The defeat also comes just a day after the Ayew brothers slapped in letters of their premature international retirement to the Ghana FA.

They alongside the Marseille team will now have to pick themselves up from the two crashing defeats to get their league campaign back on track this weekend against strugglers Troyes.
