Ayew dashes Barcelona, Arsenal hopes by committing to Marseille

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has quashed talks of the possibility of him joining Barcelona or Arsenal by insisting he wants to stay at his French club Marseille.

The winger has attracted the attention of several other clubs from the top leagues of Europe with his performances this season.

Ayew was shipped out on loan to Lorient in 2008-09 and Arles last term, but last summer penned a new deal to keep him at OM until 2014 and has since established himself as a key player in Didier Deschamps' side.

The Ghana international, 21, has no intention of letting his head get turned by any of the apparent interest from outside of France.

"This is the first year that I have had the opportunity to play this much. I am here and I have learned many things," Ayew told the club's offical website.

"I have won titles - these are things that are engraved in my head. I want to continue to progress and work with everyone here. Leaving is not in my head.''

Defending Ligue 1 champions Marseille head into the final three games of the season in second place, four points behind leaders Lille.
