Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah is drawing positives from HJK Helsinki’s 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Spanish giants Barcelona in a club friendly played on Saturday.

The 22-year-old lasted 69 minutes in the friendly that showed the Finish champions they still have a lot of work to do in order to compete against the best clubs in Europe.

Munir El Haddadi got the rout underway for Barcelona in just the fifth minute and returned to score his second in the 17th minute after Sergi Roberto had scored to give the Catalan giants a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Gerrard Pique and Bartra followed up with ones of their own before substitute Sandro Ramirez wrapped up the thumping win for Luis Enrique’s side.

But HJK’s Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah says there is no shame losing heavily to Barcelona with the vital lessons learnt.

“It was good a good experience for me but not only for me but the whole team,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“They are one of the best teams in the world with a lot of world class players and you can only learn good things from them even from this heavy loss.”

Baah and his HJK team will now shift their focus on consolidating their lead at the top of the Finish top flight when they host Inter Turku on Wednesday.
