Ghana defender Abdul-Baba Rahman was an unused substitute as Chelsea’s disappointing start to the season continued with a 2-1 home defeat to Crystal place.

The Champions tasted their first league defeat at home at the hands of Crystal Palace in a game Jose Mourinho will have a lot to talk about his defensive setup.

After a goalless first half Bakary Sako finished off a swift counter attacking move to hand Crystal Palace the initiative.

Pedro Rodrigues set up Radamal Falcao who did well to squeeze home an equalizer on the 79st minute.

But when it looked like both teams would settle for a point Joel Ward took advantage of another mistake in the Chelsea defense to hand Crystal Palace an impressive 2-1 victory over Chelsea.

Ghana defender Abdul-Baba Rahman was named on the Bench and watched on as his side failed to recover from a slow start.
