Ghana defender Baba Rahman played the entire duration of Augsburg’s extra-time 3-1 win over third division side Elversberg in the German Cup on Friday night.

The 22-year-old is being courted by English giants Chelsea who have tabled £17.5m to sign the left-back but the German side are proving difficult in negotiations.

The Germans are angling for more money in the transfer of the Ghanaian youngster seeking to improve the amount tabled by the Premier league champions.

Rahman completed the whole game without any injury setback and could still make his dream move.

Kevin Maek opened the scoring and were cruising to a famous win but with seven minutes left Marcelo Bobadilla leveled for the visitors.

In extra-time Sascha Molders put Augsburg ahead and Tobias Werner slotted in the third for the Bundesliga side.
