Baba Rahman is delighted at signing for Chelsea

Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman has expressed delight about his move to English Premier League champions Chelsea. 

The Blues have officially announced the transfer of the 21-year-old reportedly worth Â£17 million from German side Augsburg.

Baba passed medicals in Paris on Friday and signed a five-year-contract.

The former Asante Kotoko defender has expressed joy at joining Chelsea.

"I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I can't wait to train with my new team-mates and very much looking forward to working with them and Mr Mourinho," he told Chelsea official website.

He is looking forward to joining his new team-mates and meeting the fans at the Stamford Bridge.

"I am also looking forward to having the opportunity to meet the fans as soon as possible," he added.

Baba becomes the second Ghanaian player to play for Chelsea's first team after Panathinaikos midfielder Michael Essien.
