Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman will love to see Kevin-Prince Boateng return to the Black Stars for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations but says that decision rests with new coach Avram Grant.

Boateng, the Schalke 04 star, was sacked from Ghana’s 2014 World Cup camp for allegedly insulting former coach Kwesi Appiah.

The Ghana Football Association says the former Germany youth international should render an unqualified apology before he will be re-admitted.

Rahman was absent when the incident happened in Brazil but would love to have the matter resolved amicably insisting that Avram Grant will make the right call.

“Any team would like to have a player with the quality and charisma of Boateng, but our coach will have his own opinion. He'll make the right decision,” Rahman, who plays for Bundesliga side Augsburg said.

Former Chelsea manager Grant has begun work and set to meet the player over his international career.
