Ghana striker Majeed Waris has predicted a successful Chelsea career for his international teammate Baba Abdul Rahman.

The Lorient striker says the enormous qualities of the talented left-back will be the trump card to survive in the English Premier League.

"Baba Rahman is the best left back on Ghana at the moment and with his qualities, I believe he will be successful at Chelsea," Waris told GHANASoccernet.com

Rahman was the second most consistent Ghanaian player in Europe’s major leagues last season, making 34 appearances with 14 assists.

Waris believes his childhood friend will make the grades.

"If you monitor Baba's growth from Asante Kotoko through to Greuther Fùrth and Augsburg, you will see that he has been improving every season and getting the opportunity to play for Chelsea means another platform to improve. The EPL is a league that every player would love to taste and Baba's time of success has just begun," Waris added.

Rahman made 44 appearances for Greuther Furth with two goals from 2012 to 2014 before moving to Augsburg where he successfully made 34 appearances.

He is expected to make his debut appearance for Chelsea in their third EPL game against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
