Baba Rahman's youth coach feels humbled by his growth, not surprised by his rise

The youth coach of Baba Rahman, Adam Baba, is delighted with the quick progress of new Chelsea signing Abdul Baba Rahman and says he’s not surprised by his quick progression.

Rahman cut his teeth at a local colt club in Tamale – Young Meteors, in the northern part of Ghana where the journey to stardom began.

The Ghana international made the switch to a second-tier side Dreams FC and less than a year he was snapped up by local giants Asante Kotoko.

After playing for a season for the Porcupine Warriors, he signed a professional contract with German second-tier side Greuther Fürth before being signed by Bundesliga side Augsburg.

Adam Baba, the youth coach of the Chelsea new recruit is not surprised by the quick development of the Ghana international.

“I am not surprised at all because it was to be expected. This is a young boy who was ready to learn and listen,” he told Accra-based Kasapa FM

“His level of humility and discipline cut above others and he’s just been rewarded for his work ethics.
