Be?ikta? defender Daniel Opare will be hoping that his performance against Liverpool will put him in contention for regular first-team football.

The Ghanian international filled in as a makeshift left-back due to Ramon Motta being suspended.

Opare is actually a right-back and was considered the weakest link going into the game but excelled against Liverpool.

The 24-year-old defended well, making two tackles, one interception and seven clearances.

Opare was also impressive going forwards, the fullback completed 81 passes at an 88 percent accuracy and caused the Reds problems with his dribbling ability.

“I am trying to give all I’ve got for this great club. I’ll do everything for Be?ikta?,” Opare told the official Be?ikta? website after the game.

“This is not the first time I’ve played left wingback. I hope I did not disappoint our fans tonight.”

Opare joined Be?ikta? on loan from Porto over the winter transfer window.

The Liverpool game was only his third appearances for the Black Eagles since joining.
