Ex-Ghana youth midfielder Derek Mensah will return from injury in two weeks to help Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic top-flight.

Mensah has been sidelined for the past two weeks after picking up a knock during a League game.

The former Tema Youth enforcer failed to regain full fitness for last weekend’s home game against Sparta Praha.

“I got injured during a game but should be fit in two weeks,” Mensah said

“Doctors have informed me that I will be good to go and so I’m getting ready to go back to the pitch.

“The injury has been a massive blow to me and the club but it’s part of the game.

“I am working hard to recover quickly.”

Mensah joined the European outfit alongside compatriots Francis Narh last month after terminating their contract with Tunisian side Club Africain.
