Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has groveled to Roda JC Kerkrade for his two-match ban for elbowing an opponent on his debut last Sunday.

The on-loan striker was captured on camera with the challenge on Feyenoord defender Rick Karsdorp as the Royal Dutch Football Federation took retrospective action to punish him.

Referee P. van Boekel and his assistants T. Hoekstra and J. de Vries did not capture the incident during the match.

His ban took effect last Wednesday when he missed the Dutch Cup match against De Treffers and will also sit out the trip to FC Twente on Sunday in the Eredivisie.

The 22-year-old took to Twitter to apologize to the Roda JC fans for his behaviour which he says was unintentional.
