Barcelona appoint company for Nou Camp naming rights

Barcelona have appointed US company van Wagner Sports and Entertainment to help find a naming rights sponsor for the Camp Nou, according to Sport, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The Van Wagner Group, a collection of marketing companies, has worked with a number of sports teams on their stadium sponsorship, including the National Football Leagues' (NFL) New York Jets and New York Giants, who share the MetLife Stadium, and English Premier League club Arsenal FC.

Barcelona's board are thought to be keen to fast track a deal through in December in order to be able to present the new sponsorship agreement at its 2016 general assembly.

Using past stadium naming rights sponsorship deals in America and Europe as a reference, FC Barcelona could expect to earn around €20 million per season for adding a sponsor to Camp Nou's name, income that would help fund the club's Espai Barça stadium remodelling project unveiled in 2014.
