Barcelona not keen on return of Aston Villa winger Traore

Published on: 30 November 2015

Barcelona have no intention on bringing Aston Villa youngster Adama Traore back to the Nou Camp, according to reports from the Daily Mail. The Spanish giants sold the 19-year-old to Villa for £7million, but did not include any buy-back or reclaim clauses in the deal, as they have be known to do for talented youngsters who leave the Catalan club.

It is understood Barcelona instead asked for a first-refusal option, which it appears likely they will exercise.

Villa are believed to be surprised at the amount of development Traore needs before he can contribute as a first team regular, especially considering his £40,000-a-week salary could rapidly rise to £75,000-a-week.
